Western Plains Christian Youth Convention (WPCYC) aims to help teenagers meet Jesus Christ & grow in their knowledge of him through reading, understanding & applying the Bible.

WPCYC runs an annual youth convention each year in Dubbo.  It’s held on the last full weekend of term 1. (Note – that’s not the first weekend of the school holidays –  it’s the weekend before that!).  Youth groups from all over the Central West come along.   About 100 young Christians spend the weekend listening to God’s word, and encouraging each other.  It’s residential so we stay together at Aussie cabins.  For accommodation you will be staying with your own youth group in a cabin at Aussie cabins, but everything else you will be mixed up and meeting people your own age from other towns!  We eat together, have fun together, and learn together.  There’s Bible talks, singing, and small discussion groups.  There’s a bush dance on a Saturday night!  For more details click here.

We are also run and annual youth event called ‘Connect’  on the third weekend in September.  It’s a fun afternoon of games followed by dinner,  with a little bit of singing and a short talk about what it means to follow Jesus.  A great chance to invite friends along to who might not come to a whole weekend Convention.   For more information on our next connect event click here.
